Warranty Policy – New Drive Engines Pty Ltd

At New Drive Engines Pty Ltd, we stand behind the quality of every engine we supply. Each unit is manufactured under strict quality control processes to meet or exceed OEM standards.
Our warranty reflects this commitment by providing clear and fair coverage that ensures confidence and peace of mind with every purchase.

Engines are independently sourced and are not manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company or Toyota Motor Corporation.

Warranty Coverage

All new engines supplied by New Drive Engines Pty Ltd include a 12-month or 50,000 km warranty (whichever occurs first) from the date of invoice.

This warranty covers:

  • Structural or material defects found within the engine block, cylinder heads, pistons, camshaft, or other internal components.

  • Early failure of critical internal components under normal operating conditions.

  • Performance issues that can be directly attributed to defective materials, assembly, or workmanship.

This warranty applies only to engines supplied as new long-block or short-block assemblies, and excludes any accessories or external components (such as sensors, injectors, coils, turbochargers, and other bolt-on parts).

What’s Not Covered

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation, overheating, oil starvation, or contamination.

  • Failures resulting from the use of non-genuine, unsuitable, or incompatible parts.

  • Modifications, tuning, or performance enhancements.

  • Consequential or incidental losses including towing, hire vehicles, labour, freight, or downtime.

  • Normal wear and tear, or failure due to neglect, abuse, accident, or lack of maintenance.

All engines must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and industry best practice, including the use of correct fluids, torque settings, and ECU programming where applicable.

Warranty Conditions

  • All engines must be installed by a licensed mechanic in a licensed workshop.

  • Proof of installation (invoice or job card) must be provided with any warranty claim.

  • All claims must be submitted in writing and approved before any repairs, replacements, or disassembly are carried out.

  • All servicing must be carried out in line with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications and intervals, with records retained as proof of compliance.

  • New Drive Engines Pty Ltd reserves the right to inspect the engine, or request diagnostic evidence, prior to claim approval.

Claim Procedure

If you believe your engine has developed a fault covered under this warranty:

  1. Cease operating the vehicle immediately to prevent further damage.

  2. Contact our support team at sales@newdriveengines.com.au with your invoice number, vehicle details, and a description of the issue.

  3. We will assess your claim promptly and advise the next steps — which may include inspection, repair, or replacement of the engine as deemed appropriate.

Your Rights Under Australian Law

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
